Caravans & Camping

Caravans & Camping “Adults only” site

  • Our site is on the edge of the small village of Kirkby on Bain.
  • For added security for our site we have decided to add an automatic barrier & CCTV.
  • We have a large level well drained field with 4 hard standings and 6 pitches with Eco grid so that the wheels of your caravan can sit on. (we will do our best to reserve any pitch you require, but can not promise this due to logistics in the week before your stay may prove to be difficult).
  • We have 12 electric hook ups in total and 3 water points across the site making plenty of room for each pitch.
  • We also have a small grassed field that we now have turn into 5 seasonal pitches.
  • On site we have 2 Clean well maintained toilets / showers with heating (one of which is DDA compliant) and 1 separate toilet.
  • By the shower blocks we have an outside sink with hot & cold running water.
  • We have a recycling policy on site.
  • We have a small shop on site for those every day consumables.

A Recent Testimonial

We have just returned from 6 nights at the Bainside Fisheries site at Kirkby On Bain.  On arrival the owner, Mick, was faced with a challenge as the recent deluge of rain had made underfoot “damp” and hard standings were in high demand.  Fortunately for us we were accommodated in our motorhome on the car park hard standing and moved to an established hard standing when available.  As we were staying over New Year we had booked in advance for a meal at the Ebrington Arms, literally around the corner from the site.  A good traditional pub with a well deserved reputation for serving good food.

Facilities on site include a well maintained, clean, toilet and shower block, EHU, elsan and grey water disposal.  For those interested there is a fully established fishing lake that despite the miserable weather was used throughout the holiday period.

A relaxing site in a lovely village, I would recommend this site to anyone looking to get away from the hustle bustle of the rat race.  Mick the owner is working hard to further develop the site and improve facilities all round, we plan to return in the future.

Dogs

  • They must be quiet well behaved dogs.
  • Must NOT be left unattended.
  • Kept on a max 2m lead at all times, while on the camping field.
  • We do have a short dog walk area on site, but there are good dog walks locally.
  • We do not allow dogs around the lake at any time, apart from registered assistance dogs and 7 fishing pegs that can be booked beforehand.
  • We have provided a dog waste bin next to the bins on site.
  • No extra charge for dogs.

Elsan
Like many dwellings in the area we are not on mains sewage, we have a biodigester tank instead. To keep it running properly we would ask that you use the cesspit friendly Elson chemicals (the biodegradable ones that don’t contain Formaldehyde) we do keep some on site if you need it.

Electric hookups.
Due to the ever increasing energy costs we have made the decision to go over to metered electric, charged at the current rate with no added cost.
We have 12 electrical hook-ups on site, 8 16Amp and 4 10Amp hook-ups. The 16Amp, sockets will be allocated on a first come first served.
On arrival and departure a meter reading will be taken and final payment on your departure.

We are adjacent to the Ebrington Arms PH, There are also many other good PHs a short distance away. Details can be found at reception.
3 miles from Woodhall Spa.
4 miles from Coningsby and Tattershall.
5 miles from Horncastle.
