The Royal Air Force Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, Coningsby

The Royal Air Force Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) operates from RAF Coningsby, a Typhoon base, in Lincolnshire.

The mission of the RAF BBMF is to maintain the priceless artefacts of our national heritage in airworthy condition in order to commemorate those who have fallen in the service of this country. The RAF BBMF also serves to promote the modern day Air Force and to inspire the future generations.

The Flight operates six Spitfires, two Hurricanes, a Lancaster, a C47 Dakota, and two Chipmunk aircraft (primarily for training). The aircraft are flown by regular RAF Aircrew.

Lincolnshire Aviation Centre, East Kirkby

Step back in time to a WW2 Bomber Command airfield and experience some of the greatest planes in history.  The Centre is a living and breathing history experience with the sights and sounds of a wartime airfield and a running Lancaster and Mosquito.

The Centre offers the opportunity for an immersive experience as well as a time for quiet contemplation.

The Bluebell Inn, Tattershall Thorpe

There is a small shop in the reception shed selling everyday essentials, cold drinks, logs for the wood burners and free-range eggs from our own hens. Ask us about hamper packages, breakfast or BBQs for a special occasion.
